YOUR INSTRUCTORS FOR THIS CLASS
INSTRUCTOR DEBORAH TOLAR, CPDT, a Certified Pet Dog Trainer and member of Association of Pet Dog Trainers, has been training dogs and their humans for ten years. She gets her kicks out of watching for the "Aha!" moment when both canine and human realize they have a partnership. As a former training director for Austin Flyball Association, member of Dogzrule Flyball Club, member of K9-Express Agility Club, foster home for Border Collie Rescue Texas, and independent Bully breed rescuer, she has learned the value of providing sports outlets for canines to increase the human and canine bond. Dogs need safe outlets for their drive, no matter the breed. Deborah’s goal in class is to make it fun and enjoyable for humans as well as canines by taking the “work” out of training dogs to live in our world. Deborah continues her education by attending several professional animal behavior conferences a year and shares her home with Border Collies, a Rat Terrier, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and the occasional Foster dog. She is nationally certifi ed by the independent Certifi cation Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Independently certified trainers keep up to date on the latest training methods for client education and research into canine behavior. Lucky Dawg Trainers are experienced and qualified to not only train dogs, but also to coach and instruct dog owners.
INSTRUCTOR SENECA TOWNSEND CPDT has been training dogs for over three years. She is independently certified as a Pet Dog Trainer through the Certification Council For Professional Dog Trainers. Her work as a Veterinary Technician for over three and a half years, has given her a broad knowledge of emergency first-aid for dogs, as well as a variety of other species. She lives with two Border Collies, an English Cream Dachshund, and a Siberian Husky mix. She enjoys doing flyball, tracking, agility, obedience, and scent detection work with her canine companions.
CLASS AGREEMENT
By completing the form below, I certify that I have read and understand the following:
Lucky Dawg Daycare and Deborah Tolar, CPDT and Seneca Townsend, CPDT will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training of my dog and will endeavor to offer only sound, safe, and responsible training and training instructions However, I recognize that Lucky Dawg Daycare and Deborah Tolar, CPDT and Seneca Townsend, CPDT, are not responsible for any unintentional errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions. I understand that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction with that product or service. Further, I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my dog at all times. I hereby agree to abide by the rules and policies of Lucky Dawg Daycare and Deborah Tolar, CPDT and Seneca Townsend, CPDT training classes as set forth in this agreement and on the preceding pages. I understand that the attendance of dog training classes is not without risk to myself, members of my family, guests who may attend, or to my dog. In consideration of, and as inducement to the acceptance of my application for training membership in this training class, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lucky Dawg Daycare and Deborah Tolar, CPDT and Seneca Townsend, CPDT its officers, directors, instructors, agents, employees, and/or representatives of any and all claims by any member of my family, or accompanying guests of mine of injury, expense, costs, or damages to myself, my dog, or any handler sponsored by me both in class and out of class. In addition, I agree that I will defend and indemnify Lucky Dawg Daycare and Deborah Tolar, CPDT and Seneca Townsend, CPDT for any injury, expense, costs, or damages to any dog handlers or dogs, whether sponsored by me or not, or to third parties arising out of my own actions of the actions of my dog. I have read the above-stated provisions, and agree to accept those responsibilities.
